wow... were did the time go.... It's now February 25th

This has been one very busy winter... with 3 kids in school and 2 in high school sports... I don't know where the time went. Over this winter 2 new rear door Scottys where seen ... one on ebay and one is privately owned out west. Also, Nancy from the National Scotty site purchased her rear door and has started to rebuild it. Seems like we didn't see any for years and now a few have been found. Winter in New Hampshire has been cold and a lot of snow has fallen this year. can't wait for spring and a new camping season to start. talk soon... well.... post soon !!!

I still have not camped yet but this coming weekend will be Jeannie's fall gathering and I plan to once again borrow a Scotty and enjoy some cool nights sitting around a camp fire. Summer has finally arrived

Well it's just about July of 2008 and the Serro Scotty National gathering is happening in PA. Someday.... I hope to make this event but with 3 kids active in sports, my weekends are busy driving around NH and MA attending basketball, Soccer and Softball games. I heard that about 22 campers had arrived this year and I hope all are having a GRAND OLD time. Jeannie has been keeping me informed of events and she sounded like she was having a blast. I posted a new photo of a 1961 Serro Scotty curently on EBAY that has wings on it. These are rare as the Shasta Company was not happy with the Serro Travel Trailer Company for copying there idea. John Serro only offered these for a short period of time due to this issue. Take a look.... neat little camper!!!!

THINK SPRING!!!!

With the day-light savings time change this past weekend.... I woke up today to a pitch BLACK bedroom. Sitting in bed I was thinking .... I hate this time of year. The cold long winter has really been tough this year. Way to much snow and way to cold. I finally got out of bed and got ready for work. The day flew by and the next thing I knew it was time to head home. What a difference 12 hours makes. The drive home was bright, warm and sunny. All the kids were outside playing and I was thinking "THINK SPRING"... our Serro Scotty winter slogan. Yup, I was day dreaming about taking the Scotty camping and enjoying a great day with friends and family. So.... THINK SPRING!!!! It's right around the corner!!

Feb 2008 starts off COLD in NH

Well the cold winter weather has arrived to New Hampshire. Today we woke up to 12 BELOW with wind chill. The temp. outside was 9 above on the digital thermometer. Tonight we are to drop to 1 degree and with wind chill will be the coldest temps this winter. Hard to believe the Serro Scotty group is starting to plan spring events. The Everywhere Scotty Campout was a success in January and many members spent one night ( and some 2 ) inside the campers parked in the yards. Some ( like myself ) just did a 1 - 2 hour short visit inside the camper. I felt like I cheated as my Scotty is parked inside my garage for the winter. But it was nice to spend some time just relaxing inside the Scotty. My 6 year old daughter thought I was nuts.... but I figure.... what is wrong with acting like a kid again!!! So start your planning for the spring gatherings and visit the site to see whats new at the SSCE!!!!
